For Travel Professionals and Media
Support Program for Press Coverage and Inspection Tours in Takayama City
The Hida Takayama International Visitor Attraction Council offers comprehensive support for overseas media professionals and travel agencies visiting Takayama City. We cordially invite you to utilize this program to facilitate your upcoming visit.
1. Eligible Activities
Overseas Media Coverage:
Visits intended for publication or broadcasting via websites, magazines, or other media channels.
Overseas Travel Agency Inspection Tours:
Visits intended for travel product development, local sales promotion, or market research.
Important Notes:
・Accompanying individuals not involved in official business (e.g.family members) are ineligible for this support.
・Media representatives are required to submit copies or reports of the final published materials following their trip.
2. Support Overview
A. Itinerary Proposals and Local Guiding
Complimentary guiding services by city officials on the day of the visit(subject to staff availability).
B. Financial Assistance
Scope of Support:
・Accommodation: Coverage for one night (Up to 20,000 JPY per person).
*An extension to two nights may be possible if staying at different locations within Takayama. Please contact us for details.
・Meals (directly related to coverage/inspection): Fully covered up to the following limits:
- Lunch: Up to 5,000 JPY per person
- Dinner: Up to 10,000 JPY per person
・Activities (directly related to coverage/inspection): Fully covered.
Examples of eligible activities: E-bike tours, river trekking, traditional tea ceremonies, local cuisine experiences, kimono wearing, and craft workshops.
*Transportation expenses are excluded from this program.
3. How to Apply
・Please submit your proposal and itinerary before finalising your travel plans.
・Eligibility and final subsidy amounts will be determined upon review of the travel purpose and itinerary prior to departure.
・Applications for financial assistance will close once the allocated budget has been reached.
